Outtakes

15 May 2008

Well for the 1 of you that read my blog, I've updated the list of other blogs to check out. They're in order from longest to shortest length of their titles for no other reason than it looks neat. I've added a few blogs from my husband's list because I thought they were interesting... If you would like to be removed, let me know.

If you have any more blog recommendations, also let me know! I'm looking for anything interesting, funny or geeky.. movies, music, horror, comics, video games, gadgets, strange news, amazing photographs, etc.

and here are a few random YouTube videos just to take up some space so that both columns are even.

Speaking of Gucci Crew II, I decided to go YouTube a bunch of my favorite songs from my childhood. I lived most of my childhood in Miami, during the height of the Miami Bass sound... my older cousins got me to sing 2 Live Crew's "We Want Some Pussy" for my parents and my aunt when I was 8 years old and I've been a fan ever since. Not all of this (ie. Sir Mix-a-lot and J.J. Fad) is necessarily Miami booty bass, but they're still some of my favorites. It seems I'm on some kind of nostalgia kick with my postings lately... apologies. I guess I just really miss those days.

this isn't an actual Gucci Crew II video... just close your eyes and listen. heh

...and everyone's favorite, The Dogs

World Runner was one of my favorite Nintendo games as a kid. It still amazes me that no one knows what the hell I'm talking about when I bring it up, since it seemed to be so popular among my circle of friends... but then again, we (okay, maybe it was just me) were also huge fans of Wizards & Warriors and Wizards & Warriors II (maybe I just really enjoyed games that started with the letter "W"). If you still have your old NES laying around and can get your hands on a copy of World Runner (copies of it are selling for under $10 on eBay...while you're at it, get both copies of Wizards & Warriors as well - also under $10!), DO IT! You're in for a treat. Just the music alone makes me all giddy.

Trio Ist Rad!

More people should love these guys... so I'm sharing the magic that is Trio for those that may have not already experienced it -

and I wish this one, Herz ist Trumpf (my all-time favorite), were better quality and complete...

I'm not a huge fan of anime, but I enjoy these...

After some googling, I found more!

Hilarious... (I'd start watching it around the 4:30 mark) The metal was edited in by the person that uploaded the video. I just love how gory it gets for a Safety Video. Germans are so cool.

edit: Just found the shorter version of it.... watch that one instead!

I was noticing that according to my archives, I only update this journal on even numbered years. Weird! I joined back in 2002 and didn't even bother to update it once... came back in 2004 and updated with a simple "hi". I think I had intended to stick around but I quickly forgot about it and didn't return again until 2006... this time I managed to milk out 3 different entries, none of which had any substance at all. Fast forward to 2008 when my husband told me he was going to start using Blogger for his new online journal (he can be found here, by the way). Having been an avid LJer (that's a LiveJournal user, for those not in the know) since 2001 and also having a multitude of other random journals scattered all over the internet dating as far back as early 2000, I've been a little hesitant to come back to this one. I feel pretty intimidated by it. This isn't somewhere I can post my mile long 'About Me' surveys or 'Which Crayon Color Are You?' quizzes. I don't think I'm smart enough to be a blogger.

I'll just stick to posting pictures and YouTube videos here. I've never been good at writing.

While I'm not good at writing, I do love a good read... So any recommendations on some awesome blogs to check out would be appreciated!

And typing out the word "parentheses" in my last entry, put this song in my head...

This song will remain in my head (and yours too) for the next couple of weeks!

WHHHHHHYYYYYYY?!?!?! D:
Apparently I say apparently a lot.

From here on out, I'm going to be using correct capitalization in my posts. I've gotten too used to not using it in the 12+ years I've been online, that I'm not sure what I'm supposed to capitalize anymore. I also suck at using correct punctuation. I failed English most of the years I was in school... summer school almost every year. Sucked! Somehow I was in my High School's Spelling Bee my junior year. Spelling, I'm great at... Grammar/Literature, not so much! Same goes with Mathematics... (did you know I like ellipses?! I also like parentheses, so look forward to both in future entries) I was awesome at Geometry, sucked at Algebra.

This makes me laugh every single time I watch it.
