We carved some pumpkins last night and I thought I'd share some pictures. Yes, I know I have my Flickr account linked in the right hand column, but if I'm going to keep up with the journal at all, I'm going to have to get my content from somewhere and we all know I'm terrible at writing, so pictures and YouTube videos it is! Holy shit, run-on sentence... sorry about that. I wasn't sure where to end it so the commas kept on coming.

Pumpkins Ahoy!

I didn't want to see this journal die, but it's been neglected like all of my other journals. I guess I'm still using my myspace journal as my primary outlet, though no one reads that one either. Jamie and I upgraded our Flickr account to PRO yesterday so I think we're going to be taking a lot more pictures... maybe even posting here more often.

I've been working on bettering myself physically and mentally. No medication. No alcohol. No illegal substances. I've been eating low-carb and exercising since September 10th and haven't drank an ounce of alcohol since September 7th. I'm trying to be patient with my weightloss.. I know it doesn't happen overnight. My beer belly isn't budging but I have lost 20lbs. I haven't noticed a difference in the way my clothes fit yet either which is kind of a let down. I do plan on a day of whiskey this Halloween but that's 0 Carbs and okay on my diet lifestyle change. Okay, I know I'd be lying to myself if I was going to do this low-carb shit for the rest of my life. I love beer, donuts, mashed potatoes and pizza too much to give them up for good. I just want to get down to a healthy weight and stay there. So I've omitted all of the bad things temporarily, even if temporarily means a year. I'm real serious about it this time and that is the big difference from all of the other times I've tried to lose weight.

Here's a crazy video I took while chasing Jamie around his church.. I call it Chasing Jamie because I'm incredibly clever!

I had a fun birthday spent with family. Jamie and his parents went in together on a camera for me. This is what I got.

It's so tiny! I love it. Anyway, we spent a couple of nights at the inn at Montgomery Bell State Park and it was nice to get out of our apartment, if only for a short time. I seldom leave the apartment for anything and now that I'm playing World of Warcraft again, I seldom leave this computer chair. No kidding. I've been wearing these same sweats since we got back home last Tuesday.

As you can see, I am loving the hell out of the Color Accent feature of the camera. I also tried taking a video with it, which also has the Color Accent (and Color Swap) option. Pretty fun.
